A lot of growth happens in the first 12 months of a child's life. As they develop, they will quickly learn to achieve many things.
In the first few months, babies will first appreciate things they can look at. Toys such as mobiles, play mirrors, bright coloured toys and sensory toys are best.
From 3 to 6 months, babies are starting to make more use of their hands. Activity stations, soft and board books, shape sorters, puzzles and playmats are great for this stage in development.
From 6 to 12 months, babies are most likely starting to crawl or even walk and move around more. Books, toys that can be manipulated (pulled, pressed, twisted, squeezed etc), stacking toys, sorting toys, balls, noisy toys, push and pull toys are great for these ages.
